FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

  • Knowledgeable in all Canon (PSD/ICB) products and familiar in the product benefits of all Canon brands. 
  • The Area Coordinator is responsible for the overall administrative and operations supervision of his/her merchandising group
  • Ensures and manage the entire executions of Canon Philippines specifically on merchandising execution in trade level
  • Supervision of merchandising activities and distribution and control of all merchandising materials/supplies of merchandisers assigned to him
  • Responsible in leading a team of merchandising team as well as expectation to deliver against stated client goals and objectives
  • Responsible in cultivating and nurturing strong working relationship with clients, developing rapport and harmonious relationship with Client, Outlet Managers, Account Managers, Area Coordinators, and APMC employees under his area of coverage
  • Supervision and control of all in-store promotional activities and staff
  • Ensuring that all merchandisers are always present in the trade and minimize absenteeism and tardiness

    

Direct Supervision:

  1. Product Specialists – ICB/PSD

 

Indirect Supervision:

  1. Data Encoder/Analyst

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Merchandising Responsibilities

  • Submits required merchandising reports on time such as but not limited to:
  • Ensures other required reports are submitted on time
  • Attends to Product Specialist/Promoters time sheet and other accounting problems/requirements
  • Dissemination of information to his Product Specialist/Promoters (PSD/ICB)
  • Briefing/Orientation and Coaching Schedule to his Product Specialist/Promoters (PSD/ICB)
  • Allocates and distributes merchandising requirements (POS, supplies, etc.)
  • Implementation of the Code of Discipline
  • Development or conceptualization of merchandising innovations/ideas and recommendations to client
  • Recommends seminar/briefing/training’s further develop Product Specialist/Promoter’s (PSD/ICB) skills

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Sees to it that all cascaded projects are implemented properly and practice of standard operating policies and guidelines as mandated by client or Key Account Managers
  • Ensures that Product Specialist/Promoters (PSD/ICB) adhere to quality and flawless execution
  • Conducts trade check and visit on a regular basis 
  • Discusses findings on his trade visits to Account Manager and proposes action plans
  • Provides regular feedback to client on their on-going projects performance and competitor’s activities.
  • Monitors trade/outlet activities and special efforts such as trade bundling, promotional activities and various competitive merchandising and promotional activities
  • Reviews activity reports and other required report submitted by Product Specialist/Promoters (PSD/ICB).  Ensures that reports are accurately prepared and submitted on agreed due dates
  • Submits progress reports from time to time and updates his Account Manager on the status of on-going projects.  Ensures that procedures and mechanics of the projects are strictly complied
  • Review payroll of personnel under him.  Ensures that pay rolling conforms with payroll policies (Gross Pay, deductions, etc.)
  • Performs other assignments and functions which maybe required from time to time by his Account Manager
  • Ensures that the Merchandising Guidelines are strictly followed and implemented

 

Maintenance and Up Keep of Company Vehicles

  • Ensure all company vehicles (either owned or rented) as properly maintained and kept clean and driven only be qualified and experienced drivers
  • Ensure that all vehicles are road worth at all times

 

Promotions

  • The Area Coordinators (PSD/ICB) is also the overall administrator and implementer of all in-store promotional activities/projects.  He shall ensure the proper implementation of all projects assigned to him
  • He shall implement these in-store promotional activities according to the procedures set by the Client and APMC

 

Employee Appraisal

  • Conducts regular (monthly and/or quarterly) performance appraisal to ensure achievement of quality level of performance of his subordinate

 

Reportorial Responsibilities

  • Monitor, Review and Ensure submission of required reports of on-going projects on agreed dates
  • Ensure that all completed activities are supported by Post Activity Evaluation Report and submitted to client on time
  • Update respective client’s representative and head-office of the status of ongoing projects in his area of responsibilities


Warehousing/Storage Systems and Control 

  • Ensure that the warehousing Policies and Guidelines are properly implemented
  • Conduct monthly physical count of the client’s stocks and logistics materials (merchandising materials, supplies, POP/POS, and other related merchandising equipment’s and materials)

 

Market Monitoring

  • Regular monitor development of trade keeping both client and head office well informed of changes and other situations in the market
  • Always in the look out for new competitive products, price changes, promotional activities, and significant market tends of value of clients.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensures 100% complete attendance of all Product Specialist/Promoters (PSD/ICB) in all trade
  • Client Servicing Performance results to total customer satisfaction
  • Projects Execution within established budgets and deadlines
  • Ensures reports are submitted on agreed time line
  • Achieves Individual and/or Group Sales Targets to achieve its monthly incentives

  • Maintain the secrecy of any proprietary information such as marketing, operations plans, new product launches, and the like.

 

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS SKILLS REQUIRED

  • College graduate major in Business Management, Marketing or other related field
  • Age Requirement: At least 26 – 40 years of age
  • At least 3 years relevant account management experience with a good track record in a Operations, Sales, Distribution and/or Marketing and Promotions company.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Filipino
  • Very good in interpersonal skills (sociable, approachable, polite, accommodating, customer and people-oriented)
  • Must be computer literate (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, E-mail)
  • Well organized, innovative and creative thinker
  • Can work under pressure
  • Willing to work on long hours
  • Positive work attitude
  • Aggressive and pro-active 
  • Should have an experience in handling Product Specilaist/Promoters which has selling component
  • Should have their own mobile phones (Minimum of Android V8 or higher) to install the Trade Marketing App 
  • Can make an outright decision to resolve any problems that arise
