I. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

  • Knowledgeable in all Canon (ICB and PSD) products and familiar in the product benefits of all Canon brands. 
  • The Account Manager is responsible for the agency’s overall sales operational, marketing and strategic planning programs and corporate communications.  He facilitates client development through sales operation, marketing and client services programs. 
  • Ensures and manage the entire executions of Canon Philippines
  • Responsible in leading a team of accounts with P&L accountability as well as expectation to deliver against stated client goals and objectives
  • Responsible in cultivating and nurturing strong working relationship with clients, developing effective marketing strategies, planning and executing campaigns, analyzing and reporting of campaign performance, and business development   
  • Develops rapport and harmonious relationship with clients, and APMC employees
  • Serves as liaison between client and all internal departments for the tactical execution of all campaigns
  • Responsible in financial analysis in terms of revenue and profitability
  • Closely monitors the Billing Progress is a must whereas the Collections will be in coordination with Collection Officers who actually are in charge of the process

    

Direct Supervision:

  1. Area Coordinators (ICB/PSD)
  2. Data Analyst/Encoder
  3. Product Specialist/Promoters (ICB/PSD)

 

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and facilitate annual sales and operational plan for the firm.  Support and facilitate development and implementation of section business/operation and executional plans.
  • Plan and administer the firm’s Operations budget; support development of regional operational budgets.
  • Organize and implement client relations including:
  • Client development activities
  • Client skills training
  • Merchandising Execution
  • Special events (if needed and required only)
  • Over all in charge of writing proposals for new business; participate in planning and presentation sessions.
  • Design and plan quarterly operational training seminars for subordinates.
  • Make staffing and hiring decisions within Canon’s Operations Department.
  • Promote the company’s products and services, improve the company’s efficiency, help achieve the company’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
  • Provide supervision, which involves establishing his group’s targets and communicating results to employees.
  • The Account Manager will need to maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the group and a favorable image of the company. 

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Sees to it that all cascaded projects are implemented properly and practice of standard operating policies and guidelines as mandated by client
  • Routes ride and join in the operation team deployment and actual implementation once in a while to have an actual experience and evaluation of the project
  • Ensures that operations group adhere to quality and flawless execution
  • Conducts trade check and visit to cascaded events and projects to operations group
  • Discusses findings on his trade visits to Business Development Group and proposes action plans
  • Provides regular feedback to client on their on-going projects performance and competitor’s activities.
  • Coordinates with other agencies/companies as maybe requested by clients (i.e. advertising agencies, suppliers of merchandising and promotional materials/equipment/other suppliers).
  • Monitors trade/outlet activities and special efforts such as trade bundling, promotional activities and various competitive merchandising and promotional activities.



Maintenance and Up Keep of Company Vehicles

  • Ensure all company vehicles (either owned or rented) as properly maintained and kept clean and driven only be qualified and experienced drivers
  • Ensure that all vehicles are road worth at all times

 

Employee Appraisal

  • Conducts regular (monthly and/or quarterly) performance appraisal to ensure achievement of quality level of performance of his subordinate

 

Reportorial Responsibilities

  • Monitor, Review and Ensure submission of required reports of on-going projects on agreed dates
  • Ensure that all completed activities are supported by Post Activity Evaluation Report and submitted to client on time
  • Update respective client’s representative and head-office of the status of ongoing projects in his area of responsibilities

 

Warehousing/Storage Systems and Control

  • Ensure that the warehousing Policies and Guidelines are properly implemented
  • Conduct monthly physical count of the client’s stocks and logistics materials (merchandising materials, supplies, POP/POS, and other related merchandising equipment’s and materials)

 

Market Monitoring

  • Regular monitor development of trade keeping both client and head office well informed of changes and other situations in the market
  • Always in the look out for new competitive products, price changes, promotional activities, and significant market tends of value of clients.

 

Key Performance Indicators              

  • Overall business growth of the account group is not less than the company’s overall business growth objective or where revenues are at least 100% of target.
  • Client Servicing Performance results to total customer satisfaction.
  • Projects Execution within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Expense to budget ratio is not over 100%.
  • Achieves Individual and/or Group Sales Targets to achieve its quarterly incentives

 

III. CONFIDENTIALITY

  • Maintain the secrecy of any proprietary information such as marketing, operations plans, new product launches, and the like.

 

IV. COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS SKILLS REQUIRED

  • College graduate major in Business Management, Marketing or other related field
  • Age Requirement: At least 26 – 40 years of age
  • At least 3 years relevant account management experience with a good track record in a Operations, Sales, Distribution and/or Marketing and Promotions company.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Filipino
  • Very good in interpersonal skills (sociable, approachable, polite, accommodating, customer and people-oriented)
  • Must be computer literate (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, E-mail)
  • Well organized, innovative and creative thinker
  • Can work under pressure
  • Willing to work on long hours
  • Positive work attitude
  • Aggressive and pro-active
  • Should have an experience in handling Promoters and Area Coordinators which has selling component
  • Should have their own mobile phones (Minimum of Android V8 or higher) to install the Trade Marketing App 
  • Can make an outright decision to resolve any problems that arise
